Every high school student deserves to enjoy their prom. It is an event that you will remember for the rest of your life, no matter how cliché it may seem at the time. You can help a girl to make it to her prom by doing something as simple as donating your non-rented prom dress. There are many organizations out there that accept and give gently used prom dresses to girls who would otherwise miss their prom. It is a very simple act of giving that can make a big impact on a young girl's life. The prom is a special event; the excitement of being asked out, the fun of trying on your dress, getting your make-up on and pinning the corsage, dancing the night away, and then enjoying a sweet evening with friends. The whole night is something to remember and when you know that you can do some good by simply donating your dress then should be nothing stopping you from it. We can all help create good memories and this is a simple way to help out someone in need. It may not be a desperate situation, but donating a dress for another young girl is like giving the gift of a smile.

When your dress can give a girl a wonderful night, then you can feel good knowing that your dress may be passed down more than once, and give a smile more than once. Even though you may not know who you are helping you will feel good knowing that someone else may have as nice of a time as you did with this simple act of kindness. This world is full of struggling people and families, the economy is in a down-turn and it is harder for some people to buy the extra things needed for special events like these. By simply giving a gift of good times you can make a big difference.
