Long Prom Locks

Long Hair Means Endless Possibilities!

So you have the dress, you have the shoes, the necklace, the dazzling earrings, everything is set and ready; except your hair. You have two days and no style ready for your prom night. What do you do now? Hope that you have a fashion savvy friend who can tie up your tassels in a hurry?

Let’s try another avenue. How about entertaining the idea of doing it yourself? Sound crazy, well, it’s not. If you are one of the luck ladies who have lovely, long locks then you will have less trouble figuring out an up-do because the hottest trend in hair styles is sporting the natural long look.

As long as you are equipped with a parting comb, jumbo curling iron, smoothing serum, and a quick spray of dry hair drying tonic, then you are ready to do your Do yourself.

The major trend is allowing your locks to flow with a natural appeal. If you have naturally curly hair then you are one step above the rest towards a simple, yet elegant, look.

The simplest way to style your own Do is by sectioning off a large portion of your front strands (bangs) and pleating them to the side using pins if necessary. By sweeping your locks to the side it is a nice way of revealing your face and giving an angelic view. Use a small hair band to section the front from the back. Then add a dab of smoothing serum and curl the back tresses allowing them to flow naturally down your back. This is the coveted Brittany Murphy look that is very simple.

If you have one-length hair that has blended bangs try the look of waves. Boho is totally in and it has to be the easiest way to create a beautiful bed-head look that screams chic. Simply add a touch of smoothing serum to your damp long locks to calm any frizz. Take a 2inch section of hair starting on top of the crown, then using your fingers to create waves, make a peace sign toward your head, middle finger on top, wrapping the hair down over the first finger you grab it with your ring finger pull it back up towards your head and grab it with your thumb, pull back down and secure finally with your pinky. Slide the bunched up section of hair carefully and place a scrunchie around the entire twisted locks. Elegantly disheveled.
