As beautiful as your prom dress and as flawless as your prom hairstyle may be, you cannot run away from emergencies. Even though mishaps may happen at any time, do your part and be prepared. Make sure that you have a small survival kit in your bag or clutch. You never know when the strap of your prom dress may break or when you may get a broken nail. The prom is a stressful, high-energy event. A lot can happen. It is definitely full of surprises and emergencies. As long as you have your survival kit with you, you can party on and feel good. Therefore, don’t forget to take the following items with you to prom night.
Mirror: Make sure you have a small mirror with you. Look into it now and then throughout the night to ensure that your prom makeup is in fabulous shape.
Breath mints: Most people already know to take breath mints along. They have been prom staples for decades.
Band-aids: All the standing, mingling, and dancing in high heels can cause blisters. Band-aids will help you keep going. No one wants to sit around on this special night.
Blotting papers: Yes, you will perspire on this night. To avoid a shiny face, go to the ladies’ room now and then and blot away. These papers do wonders.
Emery board: The last thing you need on prom night is a broken and jagged fingernail that hooks onto everything in sight. Do yourself a favor and take an emery board along.
Over-the-counter headache relievers: You never know when that headache may hit you. Stress, loud music, and a tight up do may be a painful combination. Don’t let a headache cut your night short.
Instant stain remover pen or wipe: Who knows what you will spill on your dress or what your date will spill on his prom suit? Having a handy pen or wipe within reach will help you look spotlessly chic in case accidents occur. Do you want a food stain on you in your prom pictures? We think not.
Safety pins: If luck is on your side, you will not have any wardrobe malfunctions on the special night. The truth is, however, that you never know. Having safety pins with you is a great idea. You never know if a strap might break.
Cotton swabs: These will help keep your prom makeup neat and fabulous. There is nothing like a cotton swab to help remove or add some eye shadow or liner. Simple and easy, it does the trick.
Bobby pins: Take control of flyaway strands of hair during your prom. Having a bunch of bobby pins with you will ensure that your hairdo lasts a while.
Camera: You will remember this night for the rest of your life. Keep the memories alive through photos. Do not rely on your friends to snap pictures. Take your own camera along and get busy with it.
