Prom Shoes Shoes are a girls best friend!

Prom Shoes and Footwear Choices

Even the one with the swankiest dress cannot put her best foot forward without a pair of shoes for the all-magical prom night.

With the right footwear, others will be clamoring at your feet; even if your name is not "Cinderella." At one's feet everybody else will be, with the right footwear. They do not even have to be made by the designers, Manolos or Jimmy Choos; even payless or DSW brand can provide comfort and style. So long as the prom shoes are comfortable and carefully selected, any girl can hit her stride.

Manolos or not, every pair of evening shoes goes with a particular dress. For one, strappy prom shoes or sandals with tall, wedge heels complement an asymmetrically hemmed dress. Strappy sandals with a high, stiletto heel also go well with a sexy, and slinky long gown.

Shorter dress styles such as calf-length dresses call for limelight-basking prom shoes. You must try wearing a pair of platform sling-back shoes in the same color as one's dress then.

But when choosing ball gowns that drape all the way to the floor, the choice of prom shoes may be a little more on the sly. Anyway, the prom shoes won't do much to detract attention from the dress. A pair of kitten-heeled mules will do well then. With its low heels, chances of tripping over the skirt are minimized.

Often, a floor-length gown with an A-line cut is not as full in the skirt as a traditional ball gown. Hence, the prom shoes will likely be seen poking out from time to time. For this dress, a pair of pointy-toed shoes with a sling-back strap and a low heel is just ideal.

When in a shiny dress, prom shoes colored metallic may be worn to match the dress. As for sparkly gowns, sparkly prom shoes accompany them, as much as shoes with rhinestones match a rhinestone-studded gown. To dress for sure success, try wearing a pair of prom shoes that are exactly the same color as the dress.

Prom shoes can also do wonders in glamming up one's ensemble. By just wearing a shoe with heel-to-toe beading, sequins, or shimmer, the simplest of gowns will radiate warmth like a daffodil in the sunshine.

For finishing touches, wear open-toed sandals, and get a pedicure before the big day.

In her Shoes

Often times ladies pay dearly for aesthetic appeal of their prom shoes. The beauty of a pair of shoes may belie its discomforting features. In fact, wearing ultra-high heels makes a poor investment for borrowed time, before the blisters set in. Flat prom shoes are surprisingly popular if even only for that reason.

Style and comfort do not have to take off in opposite directions though. From the outset, it is imperative to wear prom shoes with ankle straps, if the pair comes with high heels. Especially, you'll want to consider bringing along a pair of flip-flops with jewels or beading to carry on through the rave.
