Fabulous Fluff

Fluff is In

If your prom is coming up around the corner and all you want is to find a dress that is as unique as it is flattering then maybe you need a hint of fluff. And I am not talking about marshmallow fluff. Prom is about looking hot and fabulous, showing off your own style, and walking in with your head held high and your dress speaking for itself. With today's fashions representing utter uniqueness it may not be that hard to find an interesting dress-cut or design, the tough part is finding one on a budget. If this is the case, then you have to put all of your focus on features. One of the best and most favored features of today's hottest (and reasonably priced) dresses is fluff.

Fluff (as I call it) is also known as organza. Organza is a lightweight material that has a see-through texture and is used on mostly elegant, sophisticated gowns, even wedding gowns, as an over layer, or several under layers (which create fluff). Dresses made with organza are made with many layers of under the skirt-base, to create extra body, and bounce. This style of dress will sometimes have chiffon as the under (or over) layers depending on the designer and the over-all cost of the dress. Organza can be used with better results for the purpose of lifting the skirt and adding width because of its straight, and crisper, feel. This flexible material can also be used with multiple layers on the outside to create the same look in reverse.

Look Stunning with Organza

Organza or dama-dama dresses are more commonly known for their flared skirts and body hugging tops. These figure-flattering designs are great for ladies who are pleased with their curves and above the knee dress lengths. Some organza's can be cut below the knee but the fluff-effect is most noticeable with a shorter cut, and is mostly designed to flatter in that manner. No matter if the design is thin-strapped, strapless, twin strapped, thick strapped, halter topped, single-cross strapped, or single thread halter it does not matter; a true organza-dama dama dress will look absolutely stunning no matter how the top is cut. As long as you choose a fabric color that is flattering to your skin type then you are guaranteed to look and feel amazing. The most figure pleasing dama-damas can be found with a super thick ribbon of fabric (or a super thick belt design) wrapped from just below the bust to the navel or the top of the hips. The point of this design is to bring back feminine curves and feel, and this cut has done the perfect job.
