Prom for Guys

It's prom, it's not that big of a deal.

Guys this site is clearly catering to the Small Town America prom where it's the biggest deal in the world. For most people though this site is taking things a little too seriously. - Firstly, you should both pay for your tickets, except in extenuating circumstances that is what is generally accepted, if she expects you to pay, she's not worth it. - A tuxedo is nice, and if you don't have anything renting a tux makes sense. But buying one is a little much, it makes more sense to buy a relatively nice suit that you can wear at other occasions as well. You can basically ignore everything about the prom suit details. Have a suit or tux, make sure they're relatively nice, and that you look good in them. Beyond this it doesn't really matter. If you're date is honestly shallow enough to care whether you have a cummerbund or a satin lapel, why are you going with them??
