Should I risk being called "disloyal" when I break from tradition?

Some of my friends treat the prospect of prom night like it's a trip to Disneyland. Instead of acting sophisticated at their age, they just create "spin" like they're riding in "the teacups" and showing a general lack of maturity at most other school parties that I attend. For instance, one time I learned that some of them pitched in to send a dozen red roses to a really nerdy girl; but, not without first having the audacity to sign the enclosed card under a pseudonym--using the name of the guy voted best-looking senior in our class. I'm considering asking this girl if she'd like to double-date at prom and I'll hire a really sexy personal escort to act as her "arm charm." I'm just wondering if my plan would work--to give her an edge up on going to prom?
