Positively Panache Prom Pics

See Just How Good You Look!

We are in the age of camera phones, so even if you forgot to grab your digi on the way out of the house, you will no doubt have the access to a camera. Even though you won't be spending your night snapping pics like the paparazzi you will still want a few fav's to cherish the evening you had. The coolest thing about prom pics is the fact that you'll be looking back at them from now on. I promise. As time passes you'll find yourself reminiscing on those awesome prom night pics.

In order to properly log your memories from prom you need more than the envelope they gave you at the photo center. You'll want your prom pics to be embellished and safely stored away so they will last as long as your memories do. The best way to do this, and to keep it fashionable in the process, is to set-up a scrapbook for the night. The best part is making it.

It can be as simple as gluing the pics onto a few pages and adding captions or it can be as complex as adding 3-D images, stickers, special text, textured trinkets, and even items from the event (metallic stars from the from the table place-setting, confetti that fell from the ceiling, a card from the DJ or the hosting hotel, ect.). You can gather a few items that remind you of the night and place them throughout the scrapbook as a way to personalize it. You can create a wonderful book that you would be proud to share with friends and family.

You need some basic 'ingredients' to create a simple scrapbook; to add even more depth and texture, just continue shopping for stickers, alphabet press-ons, or even pre-made, prom-night embellishments. The main things you will need are: The Album, cardstock, ruler, pen & pencils, paper trimmers/scissors, acid-free adhesive, embellishments, background paper/patterned paper, markers/paper paints, and most importantly- the pictures.

You can spend as much or as little time as needed. A basic, simple, scrapbook can be finished in as little as 10-20 minutes by pasting a few basic pictures into the book and simply labeling the names and dates of the evening. To make things more in-depth I recommend by starting with your favorites pictures (no more than 2 per page) and working backward to the less than favorite pics. Put any professional pics on the front for a full exhibit. Leave open spaces in the back of the book for miscellaneous photos, taken by friends, which you may not have known about. This way you will have flexibility. Who knows you may attend more than one prom!?
