Thousands of homecoming and prom stories shared and questions aswered since 2005.
If you can’t be sexy on prom night, then I suggest you actually consider not going there at all. After all, come prom night, all that people would ever be doing anyway is to eat, chat over pensive things and mainly just watch people pass by, gushing over the ones with the more expensive ensemble.
If you think you can successfully make it as the prom’s official wallflower and still manage to escape from public humiliation, unscathed in spite of your hideous dress, think twice. Cameras will be all over the place and the Internet will be so handy in spreading your pictures. Trust me, nobody forgets prom night, at least not the guy in class who loves to make a hell out of everybody’s lives. So better arm up and look your sexiest best in the most killer outfit that you can get you hand come prom night.
If this didn’t get to you yet, yes, it’s all about how you look dear. That’s what prom is all about. The main reason why people go there is to see and be seen.
Get a dress that will simply play up your assets but subdue your, shall we say, limitations. But between the two, just spend more time (and money) playing up your asset more rather than hiding your love handless or unsightly thighs. Hiding too much of something tends to smell fishy but if you have a glowing asset, you’ll never have an issue with hiding; they will all be forgotten at once. Remember the Golden Rule of Bitches - if you have it, flaunt it; if you don’t have it, fake it!
If you are long-legged or have nicely-shaped legs, go for slits that will reach to your high heavens. If you’re slim and want to appear graceful and flowing, think of petticoats and ballroom gowns, for you are the only one who can pull this kind of outfit. If you have an endless neck, adorn it with a choker that will make Queen Victoria envious. If you are blessed with a bosom, gather attention to your bust through off-the-shoulder necklines and styles with bust darts and deep V-necks. If you have a full figure, accentuate your assets by choosing the right jackets and coats such as straight cuts that fall at mid-hip length or longer. You can also go for single-breasted styles that are well tailored and have subtle A-line styles. For a leaner look, big women should also aim for the dress with high armholes and shoulder cuts that fall naturally.

Does the back of that dress have the same style as the front?
