I hate to be mean but you shouldn't have worn that dress. I understand you pregnant and everything, but you could have worn a dress that would fit a you and still look cute. I mean this is supposed to be one of the most rememorable nights in your entire life. You don't want to be going through your old photo album twenty years from now and your child looks at you "like mama what were you thinking" but have no right to judge you I don't know you were going through. I mean you could have been having money problems or anything. I still think you could have worn a more classy dress if you had the money because that dress looks ghetto to the extreme and your picture shouldn't be on the web for people to be talking bad about you. Everyone commenting is talking about her being ghetto but they are talk little hood rats! Get an education before you try to tell someone how to dress. Its ok to dress crazy and let people assume your ghetto but opening your mouth proves it. Let this girl wear what she wants, obviously if she is pregnant she is old enough to make her own decision.

the fact of the matter is there not making fun of the person in the dress it's that she publicly displayed her stomach to the public which is innappropriate for the prom not only the dress looked like she bought curtians and sewed it together and called it a dress she could have bought a bigger dress rather than that ratty one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's ok for you to be proud of your pregnancy, but there is a respectful way of doing so. Whenever you go out your front door, you should be dressed to impress because you never know who's watching you. Some may say that it's your life and you can do what you want to do, which is true, but you also have to think about your future. What if there was a very important person at that prom who was looking to offer someone a promising job after graduation? Do you think that person would have taken a second look at someone with their stomach hanging out? That promising job would have been very helpful seeing as how your going to have a second mouth to feed. It's time for us black women to start thinking. Even though you may not agree, you will need other people's advice and opinions to help you get where you need to go. And to the others who gave negative and harsh comments, grow up. You all are old enough to realize when someone just need a positive word. Instead of downing her, help a sista out!

I'm sooooo through with this girl!! It's obvious that she's not ready to be a mother. She doesn't have ANY common sense or good judgement. BUMP all that noise about 'if she likes it...' That's some nonsense. The girl obviously needs some guidance and direction from someone that is looking out for her best interest. If someone had told her that she was lookin' a 'hot mess' in the first place, maybe she would have given this dress idea a little more thought. She doesn't even realize that she's demeaning herself and making a mockery of pregnancy. Administration shouldn't have even let her in the building wearing that 'piece of dress' to class or to prom. Can y'all show your bellies in school on a regular?

Girly, don't be so proud that you haven't graduated from high school yet. This picture says to me that you have nothing to offer the world but an unattractive belly and another 'teenaged baby mama' with nominal education who will be needing some form of public assistance. Grow up li'l mama! Take better care of your child than you've done for yourself. Please cover the baby's belly for the first few months!! You need some coumseling so you can make the right choices going forward - especially for your baby. Motherhood ain't no joke, and you should seek some professional help to prepare for this major life change. Best wishes.

As far as everyone's griping over, "If it isn't you, be quiet," or, "She can wear what she wants..." No, you see, she really can't for an assortment of reasons. Many proms today have dress codes and such a 'gown' would completely disregard that. A simple empire-waisted dress would've looked understated, elegant--even sexy--without restricting her growing child or her own movement. Due to the cut of an empire gown, it would also, to a degree, allow her to showcase her baby bump.
All in all, it really is a horrible cut--and that isn't even saying anything for her baby hanging out of it--and it just looks trashy. If you're going to waste time and/or money on such an event, at least make an effort to look good.
