If you have a different style than most girls do, and your favorite colors are black and red, and you are planning to find a solid black dress for prom then you may be finding yourself stuck in a gorgeous Goth prom dilemma. Most prom dress outlet stores do not readily accommodate for those of you who are on the Goth side of life. Although it is possible to find beautiful gothic wear you may need to take an alternative to route to get there. There are several ways to acquire your gothic attire. Start with the easiest way; start with your favorite color and shop for a style that accommodates your tastes. You may find that you do not have to go around the world to find the right dress. If you are searching for a black, deep red or deep purple for your dress color, you can easily find the latter two in 'fashionista' shops around town, but the black dresses for prom can be a little trickier. You may find it easier to search the regular departments of your favorite department stores since prom dresses are frequented with brighter colors or pastels. It could be as easy as looking for your dress in a different department or under a different title. Gothic beauties have just as much right to be as fabulous as possible at prom. You can still find the sweetest boots (booties), chunky platforms, or witchy heels at basic department stores so don't fret the shoe aspect.

Basic black, leather (or faux) heels or chunk's can be found just about anywhere so that is one less thing to worry about. If you are shooting to stand out then think outside of the box. Find a black-lace mini-umbrella with matching elbow gloves for a Victorian goth appeal. Buy a handful of mostly-black peacock feathers for your hair or buy a circlet to adorn your forehead. Finding a pagan flair can bring out a sweetness in the Goth look. Chunk rings, silver arm bands, and even over-sized dress sleeves can all equal to some sweet gothic details for your prom night. Be bold and be daring and you'll be amazed at how amazing you will look.
