this is depressing me, i need a dress, but i can't find one. I wear a size 16

Ok so yeah it is kind of hard to find a cheap plus size prom dress but you don't have to be so damn rude about it. I wear a size 22 (proud of it!) and I found a beautiful red dress for my prom at Dilards for only $40.63! If you look hard enough you can find some really good dresses. And Debs can order plus size dresses for you if the store near you doesn't carry any. So no ladies you don't have to wear a blanket to prom. I've never been bigger than a 12, but I have two daughters that have passed me by. My 12-year-old wears a 16 and my 14-year-old wears an 18. They're big around the middle, but not everywhere else yet, so it's really tough to find anything for them. They're in a group that requires floor-length formals for certain meetings, and I'm in the process of shopping for them now. Their waist size puts them in the 3 to 6 XL range on formals, and it's hard on their self-esteem. I feel for you all because of what they go through. Like I tell them, though, your dress size doesn't make you beautiful. You can be skinny and ugly from the inside out. I might not be as big as most girls but i still have problems shopping around prom time every year. So dont doubt yourself trust me you will look outstanding for the prom you just have to get creative
