my mom won't let me buy a formal dress!!

Name: Roxanne | Date: June 7, 2005, 4:25 pm
I'm so mad!!! I saw this perfect prom dress made by Christian Dior and my mom won't let me buy it! It's only $1250, why is she trippin?! She says $1250 is an "obscene" amount of money to pay. I don't think so. I'm right, right?? I want that dress! How do I convince her to buy me the dress? I think I'd die without it...

You should look around you could find a dress you like better and maybe it's in your mum's price range? Name: Another kid on the internet | Date: September 6, 2008, 2:59 pmYou are spoiled. Your mom is right, it is an obscene amount. you are 'trippin'. You can still get the dress, just pay for it yourself! Good luck!Name: kacy | Date: September 26, 2008, 8:52 pmHonestly! Name: Rachel | Date: January 9, 2010, 2:15 amWell for starters, if you want the dress so dang bad GET A JOB TO PAY FOR IT YOURSELF! You are a spoiled brat who needs to realize mommy and daddy WORK for their money and arent letting it go so easily. Once you get a JOB you will (hopefully) realize that money doesnt grow on trees. I swear if ur rich or something then get the dress but for all the rest of us who live on planet "This economy sucks and my family is having a really hard time" we understand we arent going to get the most expensive prom dress we see. BRAT!!!Name: ingrid | Date: February 11, 2010, 6:26 pmhiya, maybe you could check out this website http://www.prom-dresses-2010.com/the-ultimate-prom-dress-2010.php not only does it contain info on designer dresses but it also has info on how to look good with more affordable dresses! it has some great info and tips! thanksName: alana. | Date: February 23, 2010, 2:10 pmwhy would you want to spend that much on a dress your only going to wear once. Fsir enough, it might be a gorgeous dress or whatever, but if your only going to wear it once, whats the point? If your that bothered about having a big prom dress, then shop around for cheaper ones or on that looks similar?, obviously your mom isnt going to pay that much for it. Or you could just get a job and save the money?, but then what would you do with the dress afterwards, you wouldnt be able to wear it again would you?, waste of money in my eyes, that could be spent on something else worth it maybe :) Name: Emily | Date: April 3, 2010, 9:46 pmHi spoiled brat. Get a life and please get over it. That is an obscene amount of money. Please, if I could get my mother to buy me a dress over $30, it's only on her 'happy days'. I usually end up spending my own money... Not everyone's Bill Gates, we don't all lead such opulent lifestyles. Be conservative, and quit asking such obviously insipid questions.
