Name: Shari Savage | Date: February 22, 2007, 2:11 amA short dress is definitely not appropriate. Select a tasteful gown, not ostentatious, solid color, not too much skin, and in a color complementary to your escort's attire. Your manners and bearing should be your most glittering ornament.Name: Kayla | Date: February 22, 2007, 9:43 amI thank a short dress is not appropriat. I would wear a long dress that has a little splits on the bottom. Why because you wouldn't wont to go up their looking like a hooker or someone that looks like they just got off the side road from prostituting.Name: Alisha | Date: April 15, 2007, 8:57 pmi go to military ball every year it is definatly called for a floor length gown and get your nails and har done real nice cause pple are really gonna liik at you as a reflection on your date!!!! Name: Austin | Date: February 12, 2008, 8:34 pmI am in ROTC and you can have a modest dress floor or tea lenght and my instructor says you can have an open back and arms but to leave a little to immangintaion XOXO AustinName: Angela | Date: February 13, 2008, 3:37 pmI'm actually shopping for a military ball dress as well. I'm a second year cadet in a JROTC program. Your best bet would be a floor dress, classy and elegant, but be somewhat conservative. You dont want to look boring, but you don't want to be the 'bad role model' either.Name: svgurl | Date: February 23, 2008, 4:10 pmyou can go for a shorter dress(past the knees) but only if it is formal, not like a sun dress, you should be able to judge the difference pretty easily. make sure it is tasteful, you dont want to look "slutty" so dont show too much skin. arms, and back and stuff is okay, but no showin' off the tummy or too muh leg.Name: Jennifer | Date: April 15, 2008, 12:36 amI am just curious about this as well. I am looking at a black just about knee length--slightly longer strapless dress. The front is very simple so I can dress it up with jewlery so I know it won't be too much...I am getting a wrap for my shoulders for arrival and dinner. Is this appropriate?Name: Cristina | Date: May 10, 2008, 5:38 pmI am attending a military ball too, no clue on a dress yet though. A lot of colors clash with dark green. So long, obviously and elegant. Color ideas?
