the sites that may very well be discount require an email address which will load me with spam, and then there are the sites you can actually get to that are like 300$ for the dresses, discount my ass!!

There is no need to spend over $100 on a prom dress if you're on a budget unless you're really set on the perfect dress. You'll have to work a little harder to find one, but keep telling yourself, "it's just one night." You can look great in pictures and feel beautiful without going into debt.
