I know almost nothing about finding a good dress, can someone help me out?

I'm petite, with a slim waist and a small bust. I'm pale-skinned with medium-length light brown hair. Can someone give me advice as to what colour/style/length etc. dress I should wear? Thanks x

Name: Patty Diaz | Date: April 23, 2010, 11:51 amIf you are petite and slim you can wear almost anything. You should go with something like a shimmery satin with high waist to make you look longer. You can also wear the bigger styles but bulk at the bottom will make you look shorter so the big puffy skirt probably isn't the best bet.

Name: Suzy | Date: May 5, 2010, 12:05 amI have a body type very similar to yours, except that i am blonde and sort of tan, so I don't know what color you should get, but i recently bought a strapless dress that has a high waistline and poofs out after the waist. I have to wear high heels with it because it was made very long, but it actually makes me look taller. I think its because of the high waistline. If you wanted a poofy princess dress then I would definitely recommend finding one with a high waist. If you look at sherrihill.com many of those dresses have the high waist and she has long and short ones. As far as the color goes, google search what season is my skin tone and when you find what season you are, there are recommendations for colors according to skin tone.
