help! id say i have quite wide hips and dieting and fitness isnt going to help. my prom is in a few months time and i want to look great as its a memoral night. Any dresses that ive tried on make me look huge and wide. Can some one help me and suggest a style or type of dress that will hide my hips or flatter them or make them look less big ? please reply

Name: carly | Date: March 19, 2007, 3:55 pmgirl if theres someone your trying to impress or something at a prom they should like you because of who you are not what you wear. and amy if not try looking for dresses with a waist line right under your bust that flows so its not tight and doesnt show your hipsName: jan | Date: March 22, 2007, 5:29 pmi agree with "tc" about the a-line [you know what that is, right? if not just ask..]. although, you didn't specify if it is simply our hips that are larger, or your middle too. if this is the case, an a-line will be alright, but for ultimate camoflauging, go for an empire [those are the ones that are short on top, long on bottom.. like a grecian goddess]. don't worry, you don't HAVE to go for a romantic look if you choose this type of dress.. it's all about accessorizing. also, any dress with a black overlay [or netting or tulle or such] will instantly slim. do NOT, i repeat do NOT get anything with gathering on the sides. it will make you look inflated. lol. fun sparkles, lace, or simlar detailing on either the bottom trim or the bodice [bust part] will take attention away from your sides. :-]Name: jan | Date: March 22, 2007, 5:29 pmi agree with "tc" about the a-line [you know what that is, right? if not just ask..]. although, you didn't specify if it is simply our hips that are larger, or your middle too. if this is the case, an a-line will be alright, but for ultimate camoflauging, go for an empire [those are the ones that are short on top, long on bottom.. like a grecian goddess]. don't worry, you don't HAVE to go for a romantic look if you choose this type of dress.. it's all about accessorizing. also, any dress with a black overlay [or netting or tulle or such] will instantly slim. do NOT, i repeat do NOT get anything with gathering on the sides. it will make you look inflated. lol. fun sparkles, lace, or simlar detailing on either the bottom trim or the bodice [bust part] will take attention away from your sides. :-]Name: kathy | Date: April 21, 2007, 1:15 pmTry to run everyday and dont worry hips are very hot!!!!!Name: Ana | Date: May 5, 2007, 9:30 amwell....I am very curvy but its beautiful i dont think u should want to hide ur hips because its what makes u a woman its good to be curvy
